Golden Memorial UMC Youth 4 Life Ministry

"Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1Timothy 4:12

Mission: The Mission of Golden Memorial UMC - Y(Youth) 4(For) L(Life) Ministry is to respond to the social and spiritual needs of the teens in our community by providing fun programs, activities, and events that will allow them to express their faith through their own words and actions; to encourage them to use their individual talents in programs and ministries that interest them in order to nurture their growth as people of faith while providing volunteer services to the community.

Vision: The Vision of Golden Memorial UMC - Y(Youth) 4(For) L(Life) Ministry is to let the young people of our community know that they matter, and to provide them with a space where they are welcomed, heard, and accepted into a spiritual family that will not judge them.

Golden's Y4L Ministry grows young people in faith, community, and outreach. GY4L Ministry inspires our youth by showing they can serve the Lord right now; because they are not generation NEXT - they are generation NOW!

Golden's Y4L Ministry is committed to the reality that young people are an important and integral part of our parish and through a variety of programs, events and outreach, we seek to draw young people into responsible participation in the life, work and mission of the church.

Golden's Y4L Ministry is open to all ages 13 - 18. We offer Choir Liturgical Dance, Mime, Ushering, Youth Bible Study, Speech, Instrumental and Vocal Classes.  Our Chairperson Mrs. Valerie Minor-Smith envisions intramural sports such as co-ed Softball, Volleyball and a Drum Line Team. Y4L has also traveled to visit senior healthcare facilities. We invite you to come out, share, and experience the LOVE.

"WE IMPACT THE PEOPLE, WHO IMPACT THE WORLD"
