Golden Memorial UMC Summer Camp

1/15

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Our mission is to nurture the spiritual, physical, social, emotional and creative growth of children in our community through a quality camp experience.

Our vision is to provide a spiritually, physically and emotionally safe environment for children to investigate and experience the love of God through a variety of camp activities.

Summer Camp Goals

  • Be Safe. Our future and everyone’s happiness depend on consistent dedication to everyone’s physical, emotional and spiritual safety.

  • Make new friendships and find acceptance. Provide for each camper a positive growth experience that she or he will remember and to which that camper can choose to return. We want campers to be accepted for the positive people they want to become, valued for their individual gifts, and loved because they are children of God.

  • Grow in your relationship with God. Our overarching goal is to provide and foster a loving spiritual community that will either introduce your camper to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ or help them to grow or renew their personal faith journey. Your child will love the excitement and excursion of summer camp at Kingdom Stars and you’ll love knowing their days are full of enjoyment, fun and learning activities.

  • Develop skills and celebrate God’s creation. Provide inclusive, age appropriate, engaging activities that are unique to camp. Provide a good understanding of basic learning skills through reading, math, singing, dance and weekly fieldtrip’s.

Kingdom Stars is a place where parents feel safe leaving their children. Camp activities will be designed to be educational and fun so children will be excited about playing and learning. Campers will establish lifelong friendships and memories and leave camp with a positive experience at Golden Memorial UMC.
