Rev. Dr. Gregory S. Williams
The Reverend Dr. Gregory S. Williams is a man of God, a husband and a father. Dr. Williams serves as the Senior Pastor of Golden Memorial United Memorial Church in Douglasville, Georgia, where he has held this position since 2007. Under his leadership membership has increased from 200 to 1,100. In 2011 Golden was the recipient of the Denman Youth Award.
Dr. Williams is a builder, visionary, leader, and teacher. Dr. Williams began his ministry under the mentorship of Rev. Emile Ennis at Fort Street United Methodist Church, in Atlanta, Georgia. There he served as an Assistant Pastor where he led the Homeless and Youth Ministries. He continued his ministry as Senior Pastor at St. Mary United Methodist Church in Hogansville, Georgia, and Burns United Methodist Church in Newnan, Georgia. His ministry grew with the help of God from part-time to full-time status. Both churches increased in membership, expanded and remodeled. He was blessed to pastor both churches for 10 years.
Consistently active in civic and charitable organization, Dr. Williams serves on several committees and is Sub-District Leader in the Rome/Carrollton District. Dr. Williams received his Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry while attending Gammon Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia where he specialized in Death and Dying.
Dr. Williams is married to his college sweetheart, Davina, and they are the proud parents of a daughter and son.
