Golden Memorial UMC Communion Stewards

While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Matthew 26:26-28

Communion, one of only two sacraments in the United Methodist Church (baptism being the other), is an essential part of the life of the worshiping community, given by Jesus to his followers at the Last Supper. It is one of the marks of Christianity, part of what defines us as Christians.Communion Stewards are Women and Men who prayerfully prepare the bread, juice, and altar for communion and assist the Ministers in the distribution of the elements to the congregation.
